Laura’s new Edinburgh show ‘The Owl of Steven’ has been picked by Dominic Maxwell in The Times as one of the 13 shows you need to book for at this years Edinburgh Festival.

“Five years ago Solon came from nowhere to be the last-ever winner of the Perrier Award. Her belated follow-up last year, Rabbit Faced Story Soup, showed that this was no fluke: Solon is simply one of the most accurate and original character comics of the past decade. Few writers can mint such crafty one-liners; few performers can sell them so well, with so little spurious flash. And if the story itself was largely just an excuse to let her cast of neurotic grotesques do their thing, if the theatricality could be taken even farther, well hey, that’s why we’re looking forward so keenly to her third one-woman show.”
